Catifa 53 2084 Chair
The versatile Catifa 53 2084 Chair was created by designers Lievore, Altherr and Molina for the Italian furniture company Arper.
Arper tries to produce contemporary furniture that combines the key attributes of functionality, technology and ergonomics with sustainability, comfort and aesthetics. They specialise in products for the home, office and public places, distributing their furniture around the globe. Catifa, one their most iconic and successful seating ranges, is the creative concept of Spanish designers Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina. The trio's studio has received many prestigious awards including Spain's National Design Award and their projects are often published in international design magazines.
The graceful curve of the Catifa 53 2084 Chair gives it a sleek profile that will look stunning in a variety of settings from dining rooms and office spaces to hotels and cafes. It blends contemporary style with natural materials. The comfortable moulded seat is cast from polypropylene and the contrasting legs are made of oak wood. In addition, the designers have created fabric covers for the seat that simply slide on, giving the chairs added variety, warmth and comfort.
