It has been knotted by hand not only for aesthetics but also for the sake of durability. The knotting is done with two rows of fringes for a laid back, bohemian look. This is done by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. The area is known for its long history and rich culture of weaving, a skill that has been passed from generation to generation.
